Jake Gyllenhaal and Chris Pine in Talks to Join Meryl Streep and Johnny Depp for INTO THE WOODS Movie?
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Chris Pine and Jake Gyllenhaal are in talks to join Johnny Depp, Meryl Streep and James Corden in Disney’s film adaptation of Stephen Sondehim’s musical INTO THE WOODS. If cast, these would be the actors’ first on-screen singing roles. Pine and Gyllenhaal are likely being considered for the roles of Cinderella and Rapunzel’s princes, a pair of competitive, arrogant men in search of true love.
DYING! I’ve been wanting to watch Into the Woods and The Last Five Years since high school. A movie wouldn’t be the same as the play, but it would be a start!
